The Important Unimportant Aug 9, 2019 20:16:42 GMT -5

Stephen Callaway sits in a swivel chair as the scene opens. A computer sits on the desk behind him. On screen, the Stephen Callaway versus Clay Krueger match from Destiny sits on pause.
“It would be easy to sit here and talk about Clay Krueger. I have a lot to say about him too. But I’m not here to talk about him. My job here is to talk about the up coming show that is UWL TV. My job is to sit here and talk and to create enough of a buzz to generate some last minute PPV buys or ratings. So I am choosing to do that. I am choosing to sit here and discuss Adrian O’Riley.
I’m choosing a guy who is such a patriot for the USA that he hides being a mask. Tell me, why do you hide?”
He takes a drink from a mug with a Scotland Flag on it.
“But let’s talk. The simple fact is that I need to beat you Adrian. See it’s easy to dismiss you. It’s easy to look at you as some random inconsequential. An opponent in the way on the road to a bigger and more important match with Krueger further down the line. But I see you as a much, much more important match.
I got a big match with Clay coming up and I’d love a crack at the UWL Champion. I can’t afford to lose to you. See, I do what I do here so that UWL bosses look at me and say to themselves ‘we could use a guy like that, let’s make him the number one contender to Gently McCrae’.
If I lose to you on Saturday night, where does that leave me? I doubt UWL will look twice at me if I can’t beat someone like you. Clay will gain in confidence as mine lowers. My momentum crashes.
See Adrian, no disrespect intended but you are pretty low down in the list of importance in the matches I in or intend to be in over the next few months. A guy that the ink on his contract is still dry. A guy that lost one match and went to a no contest in the other. I mean it’s a random match in the middle of a TV card. It’s not even for my UWL Television Title, that’s how important the match is. In theory you SHOULD mean nothing to me. But I see you as the most important of them all. I know the struggle the other matches are going to be and how hard it will be to gain momentum for them if I lose to you. So I NEED to beat you.
So come to Florida on Saturday night. So you bring your Army of One but it will be Game Over for you as a result of my Calsi Kick.
Just remember Adrian, the last time I had to beat someone, it was Clay Krueger. I HAD to beat him, and I DID.”
He stands up and walks out of shot.
