Arch Stanton is alone in one of the locker rooms of The Credit Union 1 Arena. He laces his boots carefully, sitting on a long bench populated with towels and gym bags. As he finishes, he stands up with a “30 years in the business” groan. Something catches his eye and he turns toward the doorway, where Lauren Parker is leaning casually.
Lauren: Hey, Arch. Hope you laced them up tight, ‘cause you’re going for a ride tonight. I hope your heart can take it!
Arch: What the hell are you doing here? I oughtta smack the hell outta-ya! You stick yer head in this room an’ I’ll knock it clean off ferya, hear?
Lauren rolls her eyes and laughs.
Lauren: Oh, please. You don’t even have a belt to kiss goodbye. Why don’t you just practice on your sorry ass?
Arch takes a strong step forward, but stops. He slowly unballs his fists and sits back down on the bench.
Arch: I’ve been on the job too long to fall fer a trap, kid. You heard where the line is. If you wanna step across, it’s on YOU. Otherwise, I’ll see you in the ring…
Lauren flashes some anger, but turns away coolly. As she saunters down the hallway, a sledge hammer is seen leaning near the door.
Cliff Morris: Wow, we almost had a dangerous situation backstage! Maybe better for Stanton that he didn’t take the bait!

We see Emma Douglas sitting on one of those production boxes down one of the balls in the belly of the building. She might be a part of a group, but as you can see, she does enjoy her solitude. Emma looks just a little more restrained than we are used to seeing her, no mask, no make up as of yet. Just her, still we see a small smile.
Emma Douglas : I know you think you're funny, Enforcer. Coming to Mainstream like that to try and throw me off my game. It was cute.
She shakes her head.
Emma Douglas : But it didn't work, now did it. You weren't quite the distraction you hoped you would be. I still managed to do what needed to be done. Sure, the six man tag didn't quite go the way I would like, but that's water under the bridge. Kinda like that stunt in Mainstream, water under the bridge.
Emma smiles a little bit as she pauses.
Emma Douglas : I've done a little bit of thinking, Enforcer. On why we are so at each other's throats. It's not about respect. It's not about who is the better competitor. The thing between us is we both think we are the bigger bad ass. The better monster if you will. But you see, I'm not some bouncer turned wrestler and I'm not the neophyte some might dismiss me as. I've been doing this for over a decade now, and it will take more than you to stop me, Enforcer.
She pretty much sneers at this point.
Emma Douglas : Oh, I'm not saying it will be easy, but trust me, you won't be going back to trying to wrangle the Television Title back after this. Trust me when I tell you this, you're gonna be a little bit less coming out of this. It won't be a match. Don't go into it expecting a match. It will be a fight. A brawl. I'm not going in to beat you, Enforcer. I'm coming to bloody you.
She pops her knuckles.
Emma Douglas : Like someone else said before me, win if you can. Survive if I let you.
She laughs to herself, pushing herself up to her feet, grabbing her things and heads off towards the shadows of the hallway, disappearing into the shadows.

Jax Mason - Now I have it on good authority that Patti Rose isn't here tonight. I am sure some of you have heard that she may have left UWL all together, right?
Jax and Dylan look at one another laughing.
Jax Mason - I want everyone to know that Patti Rose left UWL if she's really gone. Because she was afraid to step inside the ring with the Machine, Dylan Hunt!
The fans boo.

Jax Mason and Dylan Hunt walk over to the referee forcing him to count.

Earlier in the Day
::Enforcer is walking into Credit Union 1 arena. He is rolling his luggage behind him. Abby Joseph comes over to Enforcer.::
Abby Joseph:Enforcer, you caused quite a stir by showing up at the Mainstream Studio in Seattle last weekend. How did this all come about?
Enforcer:Did it cause a stir? All I wanted to do is show my support for Mainstream Wrestling. Our current World Champion here in UWL, Robb Daniels, has a great promotion going on up in Seattle. I just wanted to take in a show in person. It isn't my fault that Emma lets her emotions get the best of her. Why is she complaining? She beat Minka Carter.
Abby Joseph:Was there a message being sent to Emma as to why you showed up right before her match and disappeared soon after her match was over?
Enforcer:It seemed to me like I was being a distraction to my fellow wrestlers. I know that when we as wrestlers step into the ring we need to be fully focused on our match. Emma, I assure you that I was watching the entire show and got all the information I needed.
Abby Joseph:Are we to believe that you showing up at Mainstream Wrestling is all a coincidence?
Enforcer:Like the rest of the people, you can believe whatever you like Ms. Joseph. The fact of the matter is Emma has shown her flaws. Flaws that I will capitalize on and show her who is the most dominant person in UWL.
::Enforcer walks away into the arena.::

*The scene opens up as the camera is pointing at children running around the streets on this summer day. Laughing, playing basketball, and riding their bikes. Kwame Mekhi grew up in the Austin neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois. He's happy to be home, that Windy City Navigation is coming to UIC Pavilion. This is what it feels like to be a true Chicagoan, hoping for the future for our youths. Also, they don't want you to see the true side of Chicago. Some people call it "Chiraq" because of the crimes and murders that goes on in the West and South Side. Bullets with no name on it, ids getting shot up, dreams to the NBA or the NFL are gone, and parents on the news are heartbroken. Chicago is the most hated city from its own people and the most feared by any tourist. The camera quickly points at Kwame. Wearing a plain white tee, basketball shorts, and some Nike slides. He's smoking his Backwood as Abby Joseph is standing next to him. It gets silence for a couple minutes and he comes out.*
Kwame Mekhi: "Abby, I brought you out here to view my neighborhood in your own eyes." *Kwame and Abby are both looking at the Austin neighborhood as they're walking around the neighborhood.* "When I first signed my contract, I saw the dates for UWL and it said "Windy City Navigation in Chicago, Illinois on June 20th, 2020. I had an idea that I wanted to show you all my Chicago experience instead of viewing the Sears Tower, eating on deep dish pizza, and debating on the Sox and Cubs all day. Luckily, I made it out alive and Chicago made me who I am today." *Continuing walking as Mekhi stops and looks like a big yard. He pauses and Abby is curious about Kwame's point of view.*
Abby Joseph: "What are we looking at, Kwame?"
Kwame Mekhi: "My house used to be right here." *Pauses for a minute.* "1253 North Lavergne Avenue. Same place where the police raided my home, my daddy dealing with drugs, and got shot right where we're standing. Same with few others just a sidewalk away and across the street." *Points* "People don't want you to see this side of Chicago because of the violence and what we had to deal with as everyday people. I became that violent young youth after my father died and to this day, I bring that hate and violence into the ring." *Pauses.* "People will see me and Chris Constantine Jr. as the same people cause of Chicago. I don't know him. He might've grew up in Oak Lawn or Naperville. We can easily say that our lifestyles are different. I can't speak on his half but for me, I've seen hell. Anybody from Austin, Humboldt Park, and you'll have people from out south like Hyde Park and Kenwood who experience hell." *Silences* "After that cop killed Laquan McDonald, people looking over their heads from the cops and gangs. It's just how we survive." *His phone goes off and look at the text* "We got to go, I just got some Harold's at the house."
Abby Joseph: "Okay. Thank you for your time, Kwame."
*The scene ends slowly*

Titus Rush - All the new teams that come through the door of UWL. All the new flavors of the month come and they go. But while you were slobbering all over the newbies. The Empire was standing strong.
Abby Joseph - Let's go back to the ring.

Enforcer turns pushing Emma over. He covers her, the referee counts.
As he's about to hit for three, Casey Holliday, Lauren Parker and Robb Daniels are at ringside. Casey jerks the referee out to the floor and throws him into the guardrail.

After a brief break. The picture cuts to Abby Joseph standing in the back with a livid, Enforcer.
Abby Joseph - Enforcer what do you have to say about what just happened out there. The record books will show you winning tonight by disqualification. After you clearly had the match won in the middle of the ring.
Enforcer turns his head looking straight into the camera.
Enforcer - This has gone from wrestling and wins and loses. Now this is personal.
Enforcer takes a breath.
Enforcer - Emma Douglas your day will come.
Enforcer walks off as Abby Joseph stands with microphone in hand.

Windy City Navigation cuts backstage to UWL United States Champion Casey Holliday as she sits on a crate, minding her own business and being quite busy on her phone. Her championship is on her lap and she doesn’t look like someone that feels that her championship is in any sort of jeopardy at all. Whether that stems from her confidence or arrogance is anyone’s interpretation, but nevertheless, once she sends the text that she needs to send, she slides off the crate, slings her title over her shoulder and begins to walk.
Voice: Casey, hold on for a minute…
Casey expresses some displeasure with this interruption that is coming from Abby Joseph as she walks down the hallway to catch up with her. She turns toward her and her expression doesn’t change at all.
Casey Holliday: Yeah? This better be quick.
Abby Joseph: Odd. You typically like talking.
Casey Holliday: Not with you, I don’t. At least… not anymore. I don’t have to answer to you since you’re the liaison between me and the little people that don’t understand what wrestling is all about.
Abby Joseph: I personally want to know why you would suddenly turn your back on this company with joining up with Emma, Lauren and Robb in something that… well… to be frank… I don’t think your father would ever train you to behave like this.
Casey Holliday: And what right do you have to bring my father into this? Leave him out of it. I swear… I’ve already had to explain this multiple times… at least… I think I’ve had to. Listen, it’s virtually impossible for me to have ever turned my back on UWL and you wanna know why? Because UWL turned its back on me first… you know… by giving me one shot at the world title and then just shoving me aside just because they had to get even more of their overdone Daniels-Constantine fix in their never ending war of doom. I don’t need to explain it deeper than that.
Abby Joseph: Yet, you jumped on the side of Robb Daniels…
Casey Holliday: Because Daniels is at least honest… the other guy? Screw him! Personally, I feel like the business is so much better without him in it because I’m so sick and tired of seeing his face everywhere while he pretends he’s the end all, be all of wrestling. I would be personally disgusted if he were to win back the title because in my book, he doesn’t deserve it.
Abby Joseph: Still… you were able to bounce back and you did become the United States Champion… even if it wasn’t necessarily the title you wanted. You’ve got to defend the title against Campbell Chase who… if we’re being honest, he’s hit a wall lately.
Casey shrugs, showing that she’s not concerned at all with any threat that Campbell Chase may provide on this night.
Casey Holliday: There’s really nothing new I can say about Campbell Chase. What else is there to say? Anything there HAS been to say about him has already been beaten to death. He hasn’t given me ANYTHING new to talk about because… well… since Pure Aggression he’s done virtually NOTHING! It’s incredulous that he even has this title shot because since Pure Aggression… he’s done NOTHING to earn it and what’s even MORE preposterous? The fact that he LOST his last match tells you everything that needs to be said. The real tragedy here is that he’s the only apparent competition that I have for this championship… unless someone else steps up. That’d be nice. At the end of the day though? I’m doing what I need to do. I’m staying the United States Champion and I’m going to move on to REAL competition that is actually going to be worth my own time. Because Campbell Chase? At this point? He’s stepping stone territory.
By the end of the night, this company is going to know exactly who holds the power around here!
Casey rolls her eyes and walks away from Abby Joseph, indicating that she wants nothing else to do with her, before the scene fades to black.
